The contemporary challenges facing art history give rise to the themes addressed in this book. Organized around two central axes, "New Readings of Tradition" and "Otherness, Memories, Restitutions," the articles present current problems faced within the field of Global Art History and point to new perspectives on a variety of subjects, expanding the boundaries of the discipline.

The texts gathered here point to multicentric perceptions of artistic production through reflections on other art histories, highlighting the diversity of actors, times, geographies, and approaches, provoking more plural and complex perspectives. Thinking about the flows and transits in the history of global art allows for flights and journeys between territories, proposing fluctuations, transpositions, and the opening of passages.
