The Graduate Program in Art History, founded in 2019, is linked to the Institute of Arts at UERJ and offers master's and doctoral courses with annual admissions. Its area of concentration is Global Art History. The PPGHA is structured around two lines of research that, strongly interconnected, point toward complementary and dialoguing investigative directions within the scope of global art history: "art and reception" and "art and alterity." The program aims, from a multicentric perspective, to encourage research on the different forms of artistic production developed around the globe in distinct temporalities.
